50 pages in and this book has already blown my mind! It has broken everything down very well, einstein did a lot of thought experiments and he has used them to fill effect so far. The speed of light, the principle of relativity, why time is slower when you go faster, why things are shorter when you go faster and even why you can't go faster than the speed of light have been explained so far. Relative to a train!!

Last chapter was a struggle! This is definitely more complex than the selfish gene.

I hate Douglas Haig..... This book brings to life how little he cared for human life and was focused on his own glory.

Just finished reading the explanations of space time and the theories of relativity. They are explained very well however they do need a bit of extra thinking to get your head around them. However it was all tied up nicely in the end with the equations and graphs proving what he was talking about.

This book is brilliant, so far it has outlined the history of the human fascination with astronomy, how people were persecuted in the dark ages for believing in a heliocentric universe and how modern astronomy came around. I'm really enjoying this and I've already bought one of the other books in the series.

Eastmouth - Rubbish! I don't like giving up on books but this is pushing me. A girl goes to her boyfriend's house and some woman tells her that she's now part of the family THAT'S IT.

The book and the ring - this one wasn't too bad, the older English was annoying at times but not a bad story, until the end. Like every other story so far this built up to something and then just ends.

The night doctor - this started off really good and was building up a crap, painful world of old age that Sam was living in. Then it went weird , Sam started to see the night doctor more and more then his friend choked and it ended. Is it just me or are horror stories turning into some literary version of modern art (crap).

Slape - a milkman fell over. That's it! I thought that was at least going somewhere. A milkman is delivering milk to a bloke called bacon and slips in his garden.
