I’m over 8 hours in to a 16 hour audiobook and I really don’t understand the hype for this book. I don’t care about any of the characters and there doesn’t seem to be any kind of plot either. I’m just bored!

What kind of utter bullshit romance is this?

I have the horny dragon book! Hell yes of course I’m dropping absolutely everything so I can read it immediately!!!

I’m about 70% into a book called “Whisked Away at Christmas” and the only mention of Christmas so far is that they wanted her to dress as a sexy Santa for a magazine photoshoot. Honestly this story could be set at any time of the year and it wouldn’t have changed at all.

It’s definitely not the Christmas romcom that the title led me to expect and that kind of false advertising leads to disappointment

I’m loving this series but DAMN this book broke my heart! 😭😭😭

I’m hating every second of this reread. I can’t enjoy anything else because I know what’s going to happen at the end.

I wanted to reread before starting the King of Scars books but I’m so angry at this book I went spoiler hunting and let’s just say I’m done with this world. I’m pretty sure I’m also done with Leigh Bardugo too, I just can’t trust her as an author anymore which is heartbreaking

I was tempted to skip this book in my grishaverse reread because rereading Six of Crows has left me feeling even more betrayed by the horror that I know is to come.

But I figure it’s about time I put my bitterness to one side so that I can finally read the King of Scars duology. The fact it’s taken me this long to read it proves how much Crooked Kingdom wrecked this world for me though. I was a LB superfan before

I absolutely loathe Cormac. The only HEA I’m rooting for his him getting hit by a bus and leaving Whitney to have a happily ever after with their goddaughter & literally any other man on the planet. I don’t believe there is anything he can do to convince me Whitney would take him back, there is no redemption for all this nasty & manipulative bullshit he’s pulling. I hate him

I love Arabella & can’t wait to find out more about how her magici works

I liked Manny in the previous books but I’m struggling with him now. I’m not sure if it’s the narrator (it’s a different one from the previous books in the series) or if it’s just the way the character is written but the pick up lines he’s using on Lily are making me cringe. Not sexy AT ALL!

I’m going to stick with it for now since I’m enjoying the series overall but I don’t think this is going to be a favourite.

OMG that ending! Talk about killer cliffhanger!

I really love Nalini’s novellas, she writes the cutest romances and Dezi & Felix are a lovely match.

I really love Lara & Walker & it’s so nice to see the kids so settled & happy too

I really enjoy Grace and Cooper, they’re quite different from the other romances we’ve seen so far because of the differences in dominance levels between them but they fit together really well.

I’m glad I’m rereading this series but this is the only book so far that I definitely need to change my rating for. I was happy with the ending of the book but Dev was such an asshole in the beginning I can’t believe I ever gave him 5 stars!

I love seeing a more playful side to Dorian

Zach & Annie are a ridiculously cute couple! I love them both

I absolutely love Tazi & Stefan, they’re so cute together

I’m reading the series in chronological order so it’s going to be a while before I finish reading this anthology.

This was originally published in the 1990s so I don’t honestly have huge hopes for the story but I saw someone talking about the 3rd book on twitter and it got me curious about the series. I can’t start at book 3 though so here we are LOL

Today would have been Terry Pratchett’s birthday so I’m celebrating by listening to one of his books #GNUTerryPratchett

How the hell did I forget that ending? I swear everything I read in the last year was read through some kind of pandemic fog that stopped me taking anything in and remembering it. I want my brain back!

So bloody good! I am nuts for this series & already want to reread this book. It was definitely a one sitting story that I’d have finished much faster if I didn’t have an appointment earlier.

I have a theory and I’m dying to know if I’m correct or not but I have an awful feeling I’ll have to wait until book 3 to find out!

I'm so bloody excited for this book, if it's even half as good as A Heart of Blood and Ashes then I'm in for a total treat!

Damn I wasn’t expecting that! Although this is a Pippa DaCosta book so it really shouldn’t surprise me, she does love to throw a spanner in the works LOL

I think I loved this even more the second time around!
