The use of language in this book is phenomenal. And the portrait Melville is painting of the nature of revenge, madness, and the terror within the nihilism of it all through Ahab’s character is fascinating.
“Ah, God! What trances of torments does that man endure who is consumed with one unachieved revengeful desire. He sleeps with clenched hands; and wakes with his own bloody nails in his palms.” Pg. 225
