L.E. Doggett is on page 321 of 324 of Junkyard Druid (Colin McCool, #1)
Finished it. Part of it was expected because of his curse. Still action packed and some suspense. On the whole though I sometimes thinks the writer used his heroes strength and toughness a bit too much. He is stronger than most humans and tougher. Still over not bad. I bought the second book in the series.

Excitement and we learn about how he met some of his friends and sort of friends. It took me a couple of chapters to understand the time frame for one of the two sets of narration. But it works out.

Been forgetting to post this. Anyway, we find out more about the world here. How the Fea work and how Colin is drawn into things even though he swore not to be involved with that part of the world.

I mentioned that there are two sets of "letters" going on. I realized the first one was what happened in the past and the second and longer set was the present. Now we see who likes the hero and who doesn't. Even though he doesn't hunt monsters anymore he still has his druid training and abilities and strength.

Late in starting this one but not too late. It is written like letters to hoo therapist. Some dealing with one specific issue he is having and one overall: going to get coffee, being attacked, going to school. It is in these that the world is explained. There are a bunch of supernatural creatures some are not bad while other are evil. He explains the curse he is now under and other stuff.

Ending, Things work out better than it looked like for almost everyone. Which is all I will say specifically, except that we do learn what the people wanted by the various aliens did as the tale goes on. But this book does have suspense, for more than one character. Descriptions are good and the characters are well made. Intriguing and interesting universe, even though we get to see only part of it.

Again not much I can say without spoilers, except to say that none of the three cases went as I expected, which is good. And to say they are down to two cases. In this case they are two detectives. Some times Rusch will use another Point of View character who isn't a police officer and she spends more time using one certain non police character than any of the others.

Late again but this is getting interesting. Won't say much because of spoilers but there is a mystery and suspense even though very little violence but children's lives are in danger

Skipping pages here since I keep forgetting to do this. But the story is continuing. Some of the past for the Main Character and the other one who is sometimes a Point of View character, is discussed. We have learned why he reacts like he does.

Late in getting back to this but I want to say that one of three cases with aliens and their justice was easy to solve, even though the hero had some work.

We learn more about each of the other two cases as time goes by. As the two police officers learn. There is suspense too in the way the story goes along.

Been awhile since I have been here doing this. But this one is what happens to justice when we meet various aliens. They all have their own version of justice. Some are very rough. Humans have made treaties with the various races. That can mean giving up children, letting revenge killings go and other things. Two police officers on the moon have their day full of such events

Oops, forgot this one was here on GoodReads. I finished it, it had a good ending even though not the best I have read. It had an epilogue that probably should have been expected. Still not bad over all. I bought the second and third ones in this series.

I forgot to say last time that there are airships in this tale, zombies from a disease hiding in the fog of London, a diabolical genius, automatons, a ghost policeman, and more.

It starts with blue glowing policeman killing poor people and a crash of an airship. It blows up but the pilot, an automaton, is missing. An agent of the crown-queen of England-joins the case. And his new assistant

A different cover than mine and probably has different amount of words but we shall press on.

Well written, interesting and well thought out world. I have not been here on GR for a while and almost forgot to do this book which is why I am starting so late. I might almost half way through.

Steampunk with airships and automatons. A mystery too

Surprise where the dark elves hid, and the help they had. A modern device. The fight scene though was a little confusing and not sure what to say without revealing a major spoiler and a smaller one. But while not bad, it could have been dome better.

Late with getting this down. There is a dragon who can turn into a human and still be powerful. Even the good supernatural community does not like her. Her boss was switched to someone else who didn't believe in the supernatural even though in this world the general public knows of them. Some action too

Okay part two. The hero is a half elf half human who kills bad supernatural beings. There are some who are not so bad. Those she leave alone. She meets a dragon even though a dragon hasn't been here for centuries. All supernatural come from other dimensions.

The hero runs into problems and evidently someone wants her dead more than usual. A cliche: assassins are after her. Why? I'm not sure. Money problems too.

A bit late starting this one. But since I skipped placing three books here that is still good.
Will be part two.
Anyway, very easy to read beginning-the first chapter or so. Too easy, not bad but it go deeper. It didn't totally grab me until after the second chapter. Second or third book I have recently read like that. Almost like someone else wrote the first one or two chapters. But could be just me.

Hmm hmm. Some ending. Probably not surprising he gets to meet some fea. I will not say how or why. As I said something will happen in a year. He will have more power and will have learned even more things by then. Maybe to surprise the bad guy and Peter's ex friend.

Detective reasoning rules the day and somewhat action. Surprise too. I want the next book now for there are minor loose ends. It will have to wait.

Huge problem. Someone gives him a hint of something bad in the future. But the one now is biggie. Plus I am sure that some of the trees and bush planted where he is was planted on purpose to work on what is supernatural there. That could be fifty to hundred years before him. And now I wonder about a certain man there who is having sex with almost every female. Some of his kids are in the middle of this.

Yikes. His unicorns are large. Won't say more but not what Peter expected. Exciting chase and Peter gets kinda of close to one. He thinks out a plan that worked better than he hoped in one way. Convenient as one character said. But that isn't the end of the story.

So a bunch of things happening at once. Some I am not sure about. Knaak didn't do a good job of explaining the need for the ship. Or where the monster came from. A surprise was revealed. Still suspense, action, thrills. He mentions a president but I didn't recall him talking about him before. Could be I just zipped past that. Didn't want to stop reading until the end. A definite hint that he might write another one.
