Man I love how Sanderson writes religious politics

What have I gotten myself into

Uuuuuuuughhhh noooo poor babies. Had to know that this was coming but it still hurts.

Fastest read in a long long time and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Got the audiobook because it was available and I've been looking her short stories (long long ago read some of her Mercy Thompson Series) and oh my word. I have not wanted to out this book *down* all day. I just.....augh. it's everything I need in my reading right now.

How have I never read this delightful book before?! It's the perfect sick day read (marriage of convenience trope, adorable heroine, beauty and the beast situation going on with a little bit of Batman).

I...did not go into this book expecting to be on the edge of my seat the entire time. To me they were kind of in the same vein as SJMaas' ACOTAR series which I really could not get into. I was so wrong though. From the first page I have not been able to look away from Jude.

Ugh the secondhand embarrassment from these ballroom scenes is so bad. Milan always has the ability to make me care way too much. I'm already fuming and biting my nails.
