Yeah this is sad at times but it’s also hilarious at other times. A real roller coaster of emotions here.

I’m really enjoying the writing style and the audiobook narration.

I don’t like the audiobook narration but I’m actually enjoying the story so I’m just pushing through it

I was excited but skeptical about this pairing when it was announced but they’re growing on me

honestly just seeing what my tolerance level is because the writing is SO BAD. I’ve liked her Nectar of the Wicked book and that’s also fantasy so I don’t know what happened. this is written like a teenager’s first fantasy book. sometimes they talk modern English then others, it’s pretend you’re in a history book English 💀

Rina Kent can’t really shock me with the dark romance aspects with what she writes anymore because I’m just expecting these men to be a menace BUT I am shocked this has a plot and it’s not just like, vibes 😭 lol

I know people love this narrator for the Outlander series but I would’ve liked a younger sounding male voice actor closer to Sebastian’s age for the narration in this series (which I know doesn’t happen until book 20). this is just odd.

Everyone’s too happy. I’m suspicious. And scared. lol

I guess we don’t have to worry about diseases in this but *I’m* thinking about them after that sex scene

People weren’t kidding. The audio narration is bad (though in my case, I think the male narrator AND the female narrator are terribly miscast) and the business plan in this story makes NO sense. Shouldn’t even have investors if I’m being honest 💀

actually the only one getting tricked by the fake dating is me. I’m just reading this like, ARE they together?? 😂

did the author study writing fan fiction in-between writing Licanius and this book?? how is every chapter ending in a cliffhanger??? this book is simultaneously a single character’s POV but multi POV at the same time and I’m suffering with these cliffhangers

I’m down to the last few books on the author’s backlist…and there’s a reason I’ve been putting these off. we’ll see how I feel about this at the end.

I’m going to finish this book and this series, but this is my least favorite Meagan Brandy book and idk why this is her most popular one?? Terrible idea to read this right after the perfection that is Boston/Enzo in Bad Little Bride. Ari/Noah is just so boring.

The cowboy/western stuff is SO forced. But the story is hilarious (unintentionally). Not them BOTH lying to each other in the prison penpal writing program lol

I would be reading faster if I had the audiobook. Reading this in text is giving me too much time to overthink and analyze each and every line lol

I don’t know if I dislike the FMC as a character or if the female narrator’s accent for her is annoying me so much that I now find the FMC annoying ☹️

This will depend on how well you pick up accents because it might be subtle enough for some people but I’m just like ????? At the female narrator deciding to do some sort of (Boston? Since this takes place in Boston) accent for the FMC. it’s a choice.
