Like, even besides the obvious racism and fearmongering this book isn't even well written. Its sole purpose seems to be to trigger people. Even if people call it "satire" (which I don't get but who doesn't hide behind satire these days?) or "progressive" (which it isn't because its stereotypes are so early 19s) it is not. Possibly the worst read of the year.

You know a book is already starting well when the author describes some guy getting a boner and meaningless relationships. NOT.

I am reading it in German though! Pretty great so far!

At this point I'm pretty sure the only reason I still read this book is to finish it for the challenge. I have only read a few books as boring and confusing as this one.

This is going to be a hard read. I mean there are approx. 1k characters and I have 0 knowledge of Bavarian History, which the reader probably should.
