It was good to once more lose myself in a whodunit. I couldn't put it down even if I wanted to. I love the blend of classic crime fiction with it’s more modern iteration of the cozy crime novel.

A very strange ending, I'll admit. This felt more like an epilogue sprinkled with scene splinters of a story the author hoped to perhaps write someday? This was a 2.5 stars for me. I am not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I am glad I finished it, though.

I am absolutely certain that I read this before, but it must’ve been a little while ago, since I didn’t remember a lot of the stories in this collection. Good thing I took the plunge once more because I needed something to remind me why I enjoyed the world of The rivers of London and Peter Grant. This has galvanised me to restart the series. This was a 4 stars for me. I really liked it.

It's cold, so... Cold.

I was left with a hopeful melancholy, that’s probably the best way to describe the feeling I had after finishing Piranesi. I will admit, it took me a little while to get into the story, but once I started to care about the main character and the mystery surrounding him and the house, I finished it in an evening.
This was a four stars for me, I really liked it.

I genuinely think I can’t put this down. I also need sleep.

Please, give me more murderbot.

I love the dragons in this particular setting..

I’m starting to feel sympathy for Eli. I don’t like it. . The author has certainly made me feel for a character who is pretty much despicable, perhaps hypocritical as well as sanctimonious. I can see where he’s coming from though.

Fantasy and police procedural, one of my favourite pairings.

This is a thought provoking mix of various sub genres. So far, if there's one thing this collection has done is solidify in my mind the flavour of sci-fi I enjoy the most. I've read a few examples that I'm sure would satisfy even the most eclectic taste of the sf reader. However, I would recommend they take it slowly, though.

This is the perfect pallet cleanser for me.

Funny and confusing, not something to be read in one go.
