Renfield has such a nice touch on the story. He actually creeps me out. Stoker really is creating the horror genre here.

What beautiful, spooky imagery. A gloomy sea and sky, graveyards, a storm rolling in, a sleep walking friend, an insightful psychotic patient, discussions of death, feelings of longing and romance, all while we don’t know if our protagonist is alive or dead at this old gothic castle.
