Loved the description of the Man’s Wife:
“…deadily learned and evil-instructed…”

Finished The Education of Otis Yeere
Quite the turnabout tale.
I would have cast Norma Shearer and Joan Crawford 🥰❤️

Suffice to say that the description of those pictures in that last chapter severely creeped me out.
Difficult to erase.
Not going to be an easy night sleeping.

Preston & Child can create some of the most monstrously strange bad guys.

I sometimes think Sir Anthony Hopkins should be narrating this book…in his Hannibal Lecter voice.

Believe I am growing to like this Rudyard Kipling fellow’s sense of humor. 😆
Currently reading The Education Of Otis Yeere. About 1/2 way through.
If you’ve ever seen an old B&W movie called The Women? You would understand completely my love of this story.

Loving this tale.
It’s an amusing read.
More documentary-like in the way it’s told but it works so brilliantly.

It’s odd, captivating, and compelling.
It involves storytelling, writing, and past life incarnation.
It was cool 🆒😆

Pale girl with silvery hair.
Long white ragged dress.
Bare feet.
Busy bar in 1970s backwater England countryside.
Nope, I doubt anyone thought she was odd or out of place (or time).

Is it ever good to find out someone’s primary driving vehicle is a white panel truck?
Primary vehicle.
Panel truck.

One of the most profound expressions I’ve found in this book, from chapter 47, titled True Dark…and it is, true dark, that is:

“The dark felt total and true—less an open space where no light reached and more a physical object with weight and presence.”

And here I thought we were dealing with a simple faerie mound.

You know, if we all believed what these crazy writers write, we’d never unlock doors, crawl into caves, climb mounds, walk in cemeteries, cross cat paths, or…yep…open books.💕💕💕
