Not sure how, but I genuinely didn’t know that supernatural stuff is a key part of this book (even though it’s literally in the summary) lol
I’m loving this so far though!! It’s super fun and interesting (albeit slightly disturbing, what with the prognostication via ritualistic “surgery” that kicks off the book). Then again, I’m a bit of a wimp so…

Oh man chapter 12 is so good (particularly That kaz and inej scene)
Side note: I often complain about writing essays, but I really want to write an essay about autonomy/agency in this duology (esp. in kaz and inej’s relationship)

1) much like SoC, I’m having so much fun re-reading this book...these characters are all amazing
2) reading this (esp. a certain character’s POV chapters) and knowing the ending feels kinda like waiting for a jump scare in a movie. Like, I know what’s going to happen but I don’t remember how or when

Wow I forgot how much fun these books are (and how much I love these characters)!

So, I wasn’t planning on reading multiple books at once. I was just going to keep reading the books I’ve already started...but then the Shadow and Bone show happened and I remembered how much I enjoy these characters.
