Astonished what this wise woman can write to describe a prune (or to say that she dislikes them without saying so).

Does not struck me as inspiring as the other I’ve read so far, but looking forward to another Penelope Lively novel

The internal dialogues and “inductive debates” are becoming soooo pompous.

Gorgeous.

Continues to be a delightful read.

Smart use of the timeline.

So far it's as delicious as the hunch that I got when I first saw the novel at a book fair...

I feel like the focus in this third book is hit-or-miss…

It seems every chapter wants to reference and include some suspense, so far clearing up almost none. Negative or positive--depends on how it'll develop.

Frank Herbert is like Muad’Dib. He must know everything beforehand to make it happen.

Yes, that would work to impress.

An 80-metre tall gate!!

So many conversations inside other conversations.

Already getting into the story's pace... of course it'd be easier reading more than once every three weeks.

Now I’m sad.

After a very peaceful volume so far, sudden cruelty strikes again…

Characters seem to be losing their humanity once again. Dry developments so far.

Large festivities incoming...

Surprised at how consistently this volume is following the development of just one or two main things.
