OK, I’m on chapter 7. Let me predict the whole book. Jaron is somehow someone important and is part of the rebels. Kiva obviously is going to fall for Jaron and she supposed to report the rebels to the head of the prison, but she ends up having this whole ethical dilemma. Also, Jaron is going to somehow end up in the abyss. Also, someone is going to escape whether that be both of them or one of them.

. . . this had to be a TikTok rec because this book is not good.

Reading the oldest books on my TBR added when I was a teen/young adult.

I read the previous book 6 years ago and I’m pretty sure I liked it but I forget everything about this series. I read very in depth recaps, but it still doesn’t bring back in the connection. I had to these characters so this is painful.

The characters were so unlikable. The book was weird. It was like a teenage rom com mixed with serious and deep life lessons and moments? Weird.
