This is one of the best slow burns I’ve ever read. Really rich characterisation. I hang out for every chapter update ( *slight spoiler* ... despite the fact that they haven’t so much as acknowledged any feelings out loud yet, let alone kissed...!!)

Really compelling start has morphed into lectures on the impacts of ptsd and how to support those living with it in between the leads telling us how they feel. At length. :-/

Not sure what I expected from Cake but this wasn't it! More erotic romance rather than romance (w pwoar) so far Not sure I like either of the leads but... They have chemistry. And stupid fool me just read a pwoar scene while on public transport - will I never learn?! Curious to see where this goes in the second half

Oh I'm excited folks. So far this is tracking towards getting one of my rare 5 star ratings. Have just reached a critical angsty bit - which might make or break to a degree but can't see it getting under a 4. Loving it!!
