Cameron is starting Crisis at Crystal Reef (Star Wars: Young Jedi Knights, #14)
I started this series way back in middle school and never finished it, which is bugging me.

In the home stretch now. No zombies yet (or at all, probably), unfortunately. I'm dreading the inevitable cliffhanger ending. I guess that's what I get for buying on impulse and not finding out that it has a sequel first, though I have no idea what made me think that a YA Fantasy/Sci-Fi novel would be stand-alone. Do those even exist?

The gap in enjoyment I'm getting from the two different stories in this book is getting wider. Finn's storyline is exciting and tense, but Claudia's storyline, while providing much needed contrast in pace and is certainly not bad, is getting to be a bit stale.

Add Murder Mystery to the list of genres this book could reasonably fit into. I look forward to seeing what's next. Horror? Zombies? Steampunk?

Just started reading this for no apparent reason when I was bored earlier today. I'm interested to see what it is about Rand's writing that makes so many people really believe in themselves/spew liquid hate from their mouths.

Going into this book, I was expecting a Fantasy tale, but there's heavy amounts of Sci-Fi here. So far, I think it would best be described as Science Fantasy; something I wish there was more of.

I found this book on the "If you liked The Hunger Games you'll like..." shelf at B&N. Considering the ratings I've given the books, you can certainly say that I "liked" them and I'm pretty sure I can trust Barnes & Noble. It's not like they're some big business trying to make money by lumping a bunch of books together simply because they're YA novels in an attempt to cash in on Collins' success, right?

Progress has been slow, but that's not the books fault. NaNoWriMo has kept me busy for the whole month. Now that I've finished that and I've had time to really sit down with the book, I'm really enjoying it.

A nice, pleasent surprise so far. I'm really liking the characters here. Makes the exposition heavy Part 1 worth it.

Good stuff so far. I'm liking the characters. It's been mostly exposition so far, but it seems the story is starting to take off now.

Still really funny and silly. I'm having trouble motivating myself to read more than a few pages at a time though.

It's been a long time since I've read over 200 pages of a book in one sitting. Truly fantastic so far.

Finished. A very interesting book. I can definitely say that I've never had dimensions explained to me in such a way.

Finished part 4. As it draws closer to its conclusion, it's become much more entertaining. I wish there was more emotional stimuli, though.

Finished part 1. It's a tough read so far. Not a lot of the concepts are explained very thoroughly. Hopefully the gaps get filled in later.
