I instantly loved Bastius since he showed up in book one, and I love that he’s back and we get a little bit more of him in this book. But after he interrupted Zaydah’s encounter with the Crown Prince I love him even more.

I thought I liked Brev’s protectiveness of Zaydah in the beginning. It was cute misunderstood he’s only soft for her kind of thing, but now all he gives off are asshole vibes. He’s so frustrating!
