From the first chapter, I thought they were setting this up for a very obvious twist. But I think it was a red herring now… excited to see where this goes.

I really like this book. I kinda can’t put it down. What’s under the shroud!

Had to slow down or I’ll finish it too fast. This book is so good. I love the concept and it’s funny. Rare to have a book that actually makes you laugh.

Not ready for this book to turn dark :(

I missed this series so much. I’ve had to make a map of the Bobs but now that I remember them, it’s a super entertaining second book.

“It’s 1981, and I’m done pretending sexist jokes are funny just so men will give me a chance at something I’m probably better at than they are.”

Ouch that strikes a chord. It’s 2025 and I can’t tell how many times I’ve laughed off a sexist joke at previous jobs so guys would think I was “chill”.

Reminds me of the Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison

I like it when books start with the climax.

Odd book… kinda depressing but I’m intrigued.

I like the characters in this and the flow of the story.

Quite dark but I love a good serial killer book

I started this to get out of my Buffy hangover, but the gal isn’t really giving me Buffy vibes.

“He died starved for air, an experience one person described to me as ‘breathing through a straw or into a pillow, all the time.’”

What a nightmare.

Sitting on an Adirondack chair reading about how everything really is tuberculosis, when I find out that even the chair I sit on was invented for TB patients, allowing them to rest outdoors without needing their beds wheeled outside.

I can already tell I’m going to be crying through like half of this book. And laughing. I love the way he writes.

I thought this was going to be an anti racist nonfiction book… guess I should have read the synopsis. Very similar plot to Beautiful Ugly!
