Poetic writing, though it makes for a bit of a cryptic read—not that I'm complaining.

Already started the book with a warm beam. The author's disclaimer of why this sci-fi book does not include an alternate system of measure, language, etc. despite its alien nature shows how seriously this guy takes his sci-fi; just how verisimilar he aimed to make it. He knows he's got any serious sci-fi fan's attention with some nerdy shit like that. In the obnoxiously overused colloquialism of our time: Let's gooo!

Finally taking the time to read these modern classics. So good, so nostalgic.

Great so far. Not what I was expecting, but great.

First time I didn't love a book in this series. Enjoyed parts but mostly read just to get through it. The story seemed like it took place just to follow through with preceding events and there was a lack of creativity as well as the usual philosophical aspects. Hopefully it picks up again going forward.

Excellent comic so far, but not surprising considering the writer. Loving the illustration too.

Why do I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't give a shit about this book? lol. Palahniuk sounds more interested in being figuratively witty than telling the story. Not that I don't enjoy some good metaphors, analogies and wit, but I also feel some boredom setting in. Hopefully I start to align a bit more with this novel.

Great novel. Didn't enjoy it as much as 1984 or Brave New World but beautifully written.
