Whills - Maybe my favorite story. I love how it is just looking ahead to the comment section. It was witty and funny and I think it was the perfect way to end the book.

The Angle - Wasn't sure what Lando was doing here. And while I do think that it's interesting to see how the nonbelievers viewed the rebellion vs the empire. But overall, I think I didn't need him here.

There is Another - I don't know how I feel about Yoda being here. I didn't like him only caring about Leia, and how he wrote Luke off completely. I don't like Luke either, honestly, but maybe let's not completely abandon him.

Time of Death - An Obi-Wan story! I found this to be somewhat sad. To see how desperately he wanted to be there for Luke and train him and be a mentor, and how horribly Owen treated him. Like... I get it, I see where he is coming from, but there are other ways to go about protecting Luke.

I apricated seeing Aphra. I've read a few of her comics and she's kind of fun. Also it was neat to see the abandoned base that Leia sent them too. Kinda cool

I really appreciated that this is a story about Leia's parents, sad that its when she is captured and then Alderaan is vaporized

My favorite part of this is that its just several pages of someone complaining about Vader and how he creates a hostile work environment

Found this to be a mostly heartwarming story of a father recording a last message to his daughter whom he is sending away to safety. Then it is a heart wrenching story when we find out he is sending them to Alderaan. Seriously depressing. Thanks a lot Wil Wheaton

The Secrets of Longsnoot - Listen, are we getting out of the cantina any time soon? Half of what I've listened to so far has been in the cantina, I would like to move to a different part of the story. That being said, this is was fun story and the narrator was excellent at the fly voice.

I'm listening to the audio book, and even Neil Patrick Harris can't save this story. I was bored and annoyed the entire time I was listening to it. Not all of these stories have been fantastic, but they were more interesting than this. Though referring to Luke as a girl consistently was very funny.

Beru Whitesun Lars - In theory, I love the idea of this story. A look into the mind of a woman that had so little time in the movie, but was important to our hero (sort of. he barely gives her a second thought in the end). But in execution, I don't feel like this does justice to someone who could have been really interesting. She mentions "knowing that Luke is so much like Anakin" but she barely knew the man? IDK

Master and Apprentice - I wonder if it was intentional, this story being about Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan when there is another book called Master and Apprentice by the same author. I really like getting to see these two interact and discuss Qui-Gon's mistakes. It's very interesting.

The Red One- I do not appreciate being made sad about this droid! It just wants a master and a home and to not die! And while I get what R2D2 was doing, sabotage is cruel and doesn't really paint it as a heroic or good character. I'm glad it got a maybe happy ending. but seriously. I was so sad about this little guy.

This page perfectly encapsulates this book. "There's nothing you feel strongly about? Here you are, going to this incredible school, being given every advantage, and you can't think of anything that matters to you." Lee literally care about nothing. And her only thoughts are about how she wished she cared or what it would be like to care, but no cares are given,

I assume at some point this book is going to start doing things, but so far I am unimpressed and have to force myself to read more to stop from completely DNFing. The magic system is ephemeral at best and the story is doing little to catch my interest.

I'll give it a bit longer and hope I can finish it soon but so far a disappointment.

Family - This is another story I think I’ve read only once. It’s nice to see what happens with Sylvia and Beron and Mikal, but at the end of the day, it’s not one that grips me. Though that part with Tersa and deboning a chicken was quite the scene. I do always love to see Tersa protecting Daemon.

Shades of Honor - Another Lucivar story, and another favorite for me. I find it really interesting seeing how Eryians really lived in Askavi, since the only ones we ever really see are so far removed from the people as a whole. Also, seeing Lucivar as a leader and how he treats his people and doesn’t take flack from anyone? Always a treat.

Winsol Gifts - I don’t think I’ve read this story more than once. It’s cute and shows a bit more about the Winsol holiday how the SaDiablo family celebrates. I think it’s cute, but nothing especially life altering about it. Pure unadulterated fluff. Which is nice sometimes.

Penelope - This really should have gone earlier in the book considering how much emphasis is put on Penelope. I find it interesting, and frustrating, that a good portion of this, while technically being about Penelope, is more focused on how she is perceived rather than focusing on her actual appearances. Which is annoying. We know how she's perceived. We're here because we want to know more.

Medea - I did really enjoy this portion. I find Medea so interesting as a character, because there is no denying that she is awful (killing her children is hard to defend) but also… aside from the child killing I think she had a good point. And the gods seemed to think so to. Men so often get away with being terrible awful creatures while women suffer, so seeing her get away with murder? Amazing.

Phaedra - This whole section was a miss for me. I didn’t know anything about Phaedra going in, though I recognize Ariadne. Her story, no matter how you tell it, paints everyone as awful. But more than that this portion feels SO preachy. We travel off the path to complain about Persephone and just spend pages going off about historical sanitizing. That’s important but not what I thought I was getting.

Eurydice - I’m torn, because I love her story, and it was very interesting seeing the evolution of it and where it is mentioned, but when it comes to the end, where we’re talking about what Eurydice wants? The only depictions of her are ones in which she hates Orpheus? That feels hamfisted to me.

Clytemnestra - I really enjoyed this section. Ever since reading Daughters of Sparta I've found Clytemnestra the more interesting of the Princesses of Sparta. I found it fascinating that the play Agamemnon focuses on her, rather than it's name sake, and that she is powerful and filled with maternal fury. And then of course she is demoted to a jealous wife.

The Amazons - most of this was very interesting, the telling of tales of the three great Amazons, how they work as a team where men tend to work alone, and examining how the idea of the amazons changed from Ancient Greece to Wonder Woman, however she lost me with Buffy. While I might concede season sevens arc, the show describe in the beginning does not sound like an Amazon. Just like a typical hero show.
