I really wanted to like this one. I just can’t 😕

Just not feeling it. Returning it at 20%/chapter 13. I’ll try again another time. Maybe.

Chapter 14 comes straight out of nowhere and I felt like I accidentally read a chapter of a completely different book.
I’m guessing this gets tied to the main story at some point but wow that was a little jarring lol

Really thought it would be a palate cleanser of a book but was way too close to my current life and I just can’t right now.

I just can’t get into it. 1/3 through it and I just don’t care about any of the characters, the story, nothing
Although, my moods and current situations also greatly affect how I take in a story. So it’s a very real possibility that this is a fantastic book and I’m just not in the right frame of mind to actually appreciate if
