This author has already used the imagery of memories "peeking out between the door and jam" in her mind, & every time my brain shouts IT'S "JAMB", FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, & honestly if it happens many more times I'm going to have to not finish, especially as I have yet to feel *anything* for the protagonist.

My god, I feel like I've been reading this book FOREVER, & I'm only 1/4 of the way through! I mean, it's interesting & informative & I don't want to stop reading it, but how many freakin' pages does the hard copy HAVE?! One of my only gripes about ebooks: you can't see how thick they are!

Dawn is 12% done with Brambleman

Can't do it. This book has a good premise, but reads as if it was written by a 3rd-grader. After a few bright spots that gave me hope, now a random old woman is going around hexing people with crazy facial boils when she doesn't get her way, & ugh, I just can't finish it.
