Ok I read more about the reception of this book (usually try to avoid while reading but yeah) and I have a lotttttt of thoughts

So this reads like a horror story for me bc I am so scared for girly pop even tho I know how it ends. The truly scary thing is the regularness of this teenage girl. Opening her diary with her goal weight. Hating her parents/feeling like no one understands her. She feels all alone. I’m scared to keep reading (but can’t wait to keep reading)

I’m interested to see where they’re going with it now. Not sure if it’s moving slowly or if the world building is still necessary

I’m not usually a note taker but I’ve been dropping every other paragraph to write something in the margins

Yeppppp maybe on the nose but also duhhhh

Had to calculate the percentage bc these page numbers are off and I need the motivation

Immediately this book is not what I was expecting but in a good way
