I can't find a book listed here on Goodreads entitled "The Oak Tree House" by Katharine Gibson. It's illustrated by Vera Bock (her art is great and I will get a book merely cos she illustrated it). First published in 1936 by David McKaty, Co., Inc..
It's a delightful story; I read it to our kids a couple of times over the last month and a half.
