I'm really enjoying this one. It feels like equal parts 90s sci-fi/cyberpunk, anime, and the video game Outer Worlds (but done so much better).

What is happening?!

Coincidentally, this is also what I said during the summer between Middle school and High school.

A certain interaction between characters got me ruffled, not going to lie. I was ready for Hadrian to get violent but I later saw the wisdom in pacificity.

The Devils feels like Abercrombie watched an irreverent group of people playing a D&D session. Each character feels unique. So far Sunny the Elf is the best POV. Balthazar would be a close second.

At times this book is a chore because of it's cringe take on culture and politics. The horror aspect is interesting. Let's stick with that! But it's mainly birdwatching and buzzwords.

After the Feast rating 4.5 stars out of 5.

Daughter Of Swords rating 5 stars out of 5.

Both excellent stories. The latter is the perfect prologue to Disquiet God's.

Good book with plenty of creative scares. I just feel some of the writing could be trimmed. The pacing is a bit of a chore.
