The book is well written and there’s lots of interesting detours on the politics and economics of post-flood Manhattan, but it really never captured me so I’m giving up. Feel like I gave it a fair shot.

Getting interesting.

Loving this book so far. "Hammurabi and the American Founding Fathers alike imagined a reality governed by universal and immutable principles of justice, such as equality or hierarchy. Yet the only place where such universal principles exist is in the fertile imagination of Sapiens, and in the myths that they invent and tell one another. These principles have no objective validity."

Very good so far! Cringeworthy!
