Nightly bedtime reading with my girlfriend as a translator <3

Clearly, I am in my sapphic romance novel era.

Progress is slow and work is killing me but this is the ultimate safe space.

It's been five years since I last read my favourite series on earth, and that is simply unacceptable.

Took me a while to get into it, but now I can't put it down...

I feel liike I'm still waiting to really get into this book, and I'm over two thirds in...

Jumping from a boring book about knights to a §hopefully) far more interesting book about knights!

Still as good as when I read it in high school.

I am now obsessed with lesbian westerns and would like to read twenty more books on this subject.

Didn't know it was possible to have a main character this boring.

Will this get me out of my reading slump?

The last three essays I've read have all been so incredibly interesting: "The Mythical English Reader" (thought-provoking, as a translator from English into a smaller European language); "Right to Access, Right of Refusal", on translation or the lack thereof in Deaf communities; and "Combined Kingdom: 'decolonising' Welsh Translation", on Welsh as a colonised language in a country that participated in colonialism.

I love fucked up main characters <3

How bad of an idea would it be to read the last four chapters to this on the train 🤔

Had to push through my confusion and annoyance in the first two or three chapters and now I just can't put this book down, the NEED to keep reading is too strong.
