Christina is starting Breaking Time (Breaking Time, #1)
This is my bedtime book- so I'm not reading a lot each day. It was purchased for my classroom.
A clean version of Outlander is how it's portrayed. But it's more fantasy than historical fiction. I'll finish it slowly but surely.

Slowly but surely chugging along... I thought this would be more historical and it's not-- it's more about the relationship between the husband and wife thus far.

Christina is starting The Little French Bistro
I quit this partway through. I was listening to it, and just did not love it. Maybe it I read it with an actual book I would feel differently.

I started this last night. I'm excited to finally read this in its entirety after reading excerpts for four years.

Christina is reading Hamlet's BlackBerry: A Practical Philosophy for Building a Good Life in the Digital Age
Time to closely annotate summer reading! :) Definitely a smart text that makes us think critically about our lives. While it might not e as easy to breeze through as, say, The Hunger Games, I think it's totally worth sitting outside on a reasonably-warm day and listening to Powers's philosophy. :)

Onto the third! I semi-expected the ending. I need to know what happened to Peeta.

Really great advice for all those who want to write. Love the e-book and have used some tips for my senior classes.

Love hearing the characters speak their minds and unpack key issues: "Lines between black and white ain't there neither. Some folks just made those up, long time ago."

Now it's getting good! The mix of history with narrative makes this quite engaging for me. To think about everyday life during the Civil Rights movement is a new lens for me. A reminder of how we cannot ignore the effects of history on life today.

Christina is on page 50 of 288 of The Glass Castle
I picked this up two summers ago and did not get very far. I'm not sure why, because I'm enjoying it so far. Walls' characterization of her parents is so precise. I am curious to move through her childhood and learn how she became who she is today. Therefore, for now, the author has done her job. I want to turn the page.

Done and done. The movie was disappointing after the book, but I am very curious to see of Sirius comes back into Harry's life?! I'm hooked.

I would love to know how legit Lupin is hmm I really should be doing my classwork instead or reading. A visit to the pool may allow me to finish this up and return to my academic world. :)

Christina is finished with Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2)
Done and done! As I finish the second book, I wonder if the structure will be the same for ten all? I felt as if there was less development of character here and more focus on solving the mystery. Dobby is creepy!!!
