This is my second reading of this book. I am accompanying my sister who is reading it with the Hardcore Literature book club.

This book is brutal, the stories so sordid, that it's no wonder New York society turned against Capote. But Capote's writing style is dazzling and his descriptions of people acidly sharp and wickedly funny, that it's a great read.
