The book is excellent so far. I find it brings up several interesting insights to how medicine has changed over the years. PTSD wasn’t even a recognized thing until 1980; which was astounding to me.

A point that I really liked that the author makes—“the way medicine approaches human suffering has always been determined by the technology of the time available at any given time.”

Rarely do I not feel like reaching inside a book and wringing a character’s neck due to idiocy, repugnantness or their sheer audacity at being whatever they are—this book is no exception.

I am sick. This was the worst chapter ever. Sobbing.

What. The. Fuck.

This is so very underwhelming and everyone is miserable.
