Icarus is starting By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept

I've read this book years ago. its safe to say its been at least a decade. however, I don't remember much of it other than I liked it. in my current situation, i'm hoping this is a better substitute to Eat, Pray, Love, which i'm hesitant on reading. at any rate, i'm opening my mind up to this book and hopes it acts as the chicken soup I so emotionally could use at the moment.

wow... this book starts a little slow but picks up halfway through. its a VERY quick read so once the author finally laid the characters and scenario out, its like this first drop of a rollercoaster ride. this should be a quick finish before jumping into book two tonight.

i guess the mark of a good book in a series is the fact that even though i had no clue this was a series(and just picked up book #6) it reads like a stand alone novel. i'm REALLY diggin the action in this book. and it switches scenes rapidly enough to soothe my ADHD
