Susan Brooks is starting How to Borrow and Return Books from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library: Step-By-Step Guide with Screenshots On How to Borrow, Read and Return Books from the Kindle Owners' Lending Library
As it turns out none of the books I want to read are in the Kindle Owners' Lending Library. In fact, Kindle Unlimited doesn't have those books either. Good bye to the "Lending Library" as well as Kindle Unlimited.

Susan Brooks is starting The Perfectionists: How Precision Engineers Created the Modern World
I skipped through this one, then sent it to my brother. Fascinating, but not riveting reading.

I have long been a fan of anything Japanese. Now, at this late date, this book is opening my eyes to what a closed country Japan is, even now. So much for a romantic view. Still, I'm appreciating (if not enjoying) learning about Japanese prejudices against Koreans, pre- and post wars.

Susan Brooks is starting Undaunted Courage: Meriwether Lewis, Thomas Jefferson, and the Opening of the American West
I dip into this book when I get breaks from others. It doesn't drive me to continue, although it is very good.

I'm loving The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. Flavia, 11 years old, precocious and fearless is so much fun. Obnoxious to her sisters, invisible while she investigates a murder, she leaves her bicycle, Gladys, to graze while waiting for Flavia to return. The voice makes me chuckle. Thanks to Corinne for the recommendation. I look forward to more Flavia books.
