it was nice to read about her experience in michigan! before her life fell apart because of her dad 😬🙃

She opened with talking about how the FBI came to her door to talk to her about her father, then the narrative goes back in time to her childhood vacations to Padre Island and other outdoor hiking activities.
She also talks about her struggle with depression in college and her relationship with her boyfriend at the time/future husband.
So far not a lot about her experience with her father besides vacations.

i’m not sure how i’m feeling about this book which is written in a very YA style. I realize 18/19 year olds are still teenagers but the lack of maturity is clear to me.

it’s giving redemption of Kent Parsons from Check Please. not sure how much storyline overlap counts as a copycat narrative.
