I'm at the halfway point and had to switch over to the audiobook. It's been such a slog to get through this book. It's well written but so far, I much prefer Parable of the Sower

I know I’ll never finish this book. 4 poems in and it’s so triggering

This book had a section that I found really vile so I stopped. It was decent until that part, though.

This book was recommended to me and I'm a little bummed because it's an epistolary and I'm not a fan of epistolaries. However, it's upbeat and so far, so good.

Interesting memoir but don't get the audiobook. McCourt is monotonous to the point of being robotic. His brogue saves this from being completely boring.

The book is a really interesting look at his adolescence and early adulthood. I left wondering what happened to him after that and. Really adept storytelling.

I'm dragging through this. I'm surprised because I normally find him so funny
