I’m not gonna rag on a classic but the dialogue in this book was not hitting for me reading it as an adult. Maybe we’re just spoiled with books that develop such rich characters and have witty dialogue but I found myself completely disengaged from most of the characters and found the dialogue between them forced and obtrusive.

But still, a classic sci-fi narrative that just isn’t holding as well 60 years later

Thoroughly enjoyed my readthrough as an 8-bit 80s and 90s gamer enjoying the process and story along the way. The characters became a bit emo for my liking not necessarily vibing with all the nostalgia and history but I got over it.
