Reena Jacobs is 4% done with The Boy from Tomorrow
So far I am intrigued. I wasn’t sure how the two main characters would make a connection. However, I would like the way the author brought them together.

So far, it's pretty entertaining. I have my son reading it along with me. I'd say if you've ever been frustrated by a video game because you don't know how to proceed, you might relate to this book. Not bad so far.

First sentence and it's already steamy. I think I'm going to like this book.

So far it's intriguing. I'm curious to know how she gets her "spark." The interactions seem rather weird though, unnaturally so. We have grown men and women (24-25 years old) behaving like 16-year-olds. I'm hoping as the book progresses the interactions and behavior become more realistic.

So far I'm quite enjoying this. The stakes were set early, and I have a good sense of the the world. My digital copy only shows 180 pages, so I'm hoping I have the entire book.

If I had known this was almost 100k words long, I probably wouldn't have started. Glad I was ignorant of the word count, cause I'm actually really enjoying this so far. :)

I think I'm going to hold off on this one. The writing style bothers me, and I want to give this book a fair chance. As it is, I'm going into the read not feeling it.

I was pretty excited about this book, but so far I'm a bit apprehensive. The writing is very simplistic and dry. "I did this. We hopped over the wall. I smelled blood and feces. I did this because..." Very lacking in feeling and distancing. Hopefully the storyline is good.

Six pages in, and I'm already liking the style of this one. I wish I didn't have so much to do; I'd curl up and read it in one sitting. *sigh* Back to work then it's just me and the Nook.

I really like the story line, but the rationale for the Code of Silence is a bit weak. I'm not sure how keeping silent is helping or what difference telling now verses later makes.

This book starts right with the action. I'm liking it. I'm not too keen on this code of silence the kids have taken, but being a kid can be scary when there's danger... make them prone to mistakes. Still... I'm liking it so far.

I don't read many books written with a UK setting. It's interesting the differences between the UK and US.

I like what the factionless are trying to accomplish in this book. A little over a hundred pages left, I wonder if they'll do it.

I kind of like Tobias. He's not one of my favorite heroes, but I like that he's always thinking ahead. He's strategic and always keeps a level head.

The Erudite don't really seem all to smart to me. They remind me more of the obnoxious teacher's pet in elementary school. They think they know it all, but really, they just get picked to answer the easy questions so they can feel good about themselves.

I can't understand why the Erudite keep using people Tris knows to guard her or help with experiments on her. I would never use people who could possibly be loyal to my enemies as assistants. Aren't the Erudite suppose to be the smart ones?

I am so annoyed right now with all those individuals who didn't read Insurgent but added their 5 star rating before the book even came out. WTF? Read the damn book first then decide if it's crap or not. Cause I'm telling you, this is nothing like the first book. I'm not even sure I can put it in the same genre. In my head, I'm calling folks who rate w/o reading all sorts of foul names. I hope your ears are ringing!

This book is really bums me out. I keep telling myself 2 hold on B/C I enjoyed Divergent, & Insurgent might get better, but I'm nearly 200 pages through. Should I dedicate another 350 pages of my time 2 finish? I feel like everything good is happening behind the scenes where only the author can C. Then when the director calls action, the characters plod around in meaningless activities. Where's the excitement?

A little mystery can be good in a book, but Tris knows so little about what's going on, it's hard to stay interested in this read. It's a bummer cause I remember being fond of Divergent. At the moment, I'm wondering if I should mark this as a DNF or push on. Think I'll read my updates of Divergent... see if it also had a slow start.

Darla and Alex are like night and day. Darla takes no prisoners, thinks generosity is a foul word. Alex gives like he has a wishing well that won't let him down. The contrast between the two is insane.

Sorry about the back-to-back updates, but like I said... no notes in the nook. I love the realism in this book. Nothing seems fake about the struggles. The pain is real, the trials are real. And did I mention I love Darla. She does what needs to be done no matter what. Yet she still manages to keep her heart when necessary.
