Fantastic book using detailed personal accounts from German and Russian combatants retelling Army Group South's drive southeast -subsequent splitting into AG A; and B's drive on Stalingrad during Operation Blue. I have read Buttar's WWI East Front series and his WWII East Font series is no exception. Book ends with the German's victory at Kharkov; stabilization of the German lines and Soviets seizing the initaitve.
