What a positive and wonderfully upbeat soul. Truly an inspiration for living with kindness.

Well chronicled and a quick read but overall sad. While McCurdy does give us hope- conquering her childhood, her demons, and perceived success, I was unable to get past the story of loss and how betrayed she was by her mother’s selfishness. Some kids just get a raw deal.

It’s really wonderful to hear a founder tell the honesty of his path to build a successful business. We need more of this!

However it’s really hard to listen to the day-to-day bad decisions and not be confounded as to how it was allowed to recur again and again. I really feel for the employees in this story.

Really approachable for such brainy concepts. I read it on the train and it’s been a slog.

This book is obvi written by masters of their craft, structured in a way anyone can use, but I don’t recommend the audio version because it seems the premise is a guidebook you can take to dates … doesn’t work well in practice.

I’m so impressed by this book and Curtis Jackson. A lot of self help books will give you high level theories but none I’ve read goes into such clear, direct detail about how poor choices can manifest repeated failure scenarios. I loved it and can’t wait to listen again.

Only chit: there’s something weird with the audio making it sound like 50 is no longer narrating or working out of a budget studio.

Love Mark the party boy who cares about sales. Fun and approachable.

Loving the simplicity and honesty. It’s silly but not too over the top to not enjoy. He does a great job of making straight talk a little bit fun.

Really good so far. Cartier Brickell uses her personal connection to connect you to the family before diving into the history.

Loving the book so far but some of the turns felt a little repetitive. While that is likely how it would be for all of us I kept wanting to jump to the end.
