Tomi’s book was really enjoyable to read. Her messages couldn’t be more positive: don’t let other people’s opinions or feelings or thoughts hold you back from doing what you want to do with your own life or from doing what you know is right. A decent amount of profanity if that floats your boat, and if you don’t want to hear about Trump or conservative politics or a liberal take on conservative politics… skip this 1.

Tomi is not what I expected based on my glimpses of her as the TV politics & news commentator & personality. I had come to know Tomi as a kind of conservative sycophant. Smart, funny, spicy & kind of mean on TV Tomi reveals in her book her desire to inspire people. People should think for themselves, to stand up for what they believe in, even if it is contrary to what others believe.

So full of insights & reflections is this book that I truly feel as though I’m seeing inside the writer’s mind as she interacts with people & non-human beings like sea stars and octopuses. I just read the part about “mirror neurons” & “octopus time” and how these concepts might be clues that lead us into the mystery of how being around an octopus seems to change our human perception of time & space.

Very fun book! I’ve been able to visit a lot of these places and do the things that this book suggests doing and it’s been a wild ride. Definitely recommended for anyone living in Columbus. You’ll love it.
