That's me done I'm afraid! It's got the point where I'm avoiding reading the book now so I've had enough. Time to move onto something else now!

I must admit I'm getting very close to giving up on this. I loved John Le Carre's early books such as 'The Spy who came in from the cold' and 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' but this is a hard going. It's so slow and after 80 pages there is zip going on. I'll stick with it but I can see this one being a book I don't finish unfortunately!

I have to admit I'm struggling with this book. It's very slow but I will try and stick with it, I hate not finishing a book but this one is proving a challenge!

Finally finished this book but it really wasn't very good and you see that Michael Crichton did not write all of this. Way too many characters, twists that don't make much sense and a book that I was skimming rather than reading torwards the end I'm afraid. I would say its best to read some of Crichton's brilliant other books rather than this one...

Its started well but there are a lot of characters which is unusual for a Michael Crichton novel. Still, I'm enjoying it and it has a fascinating premise (that's not unusual for Crichton) so I'm sure it will pick up!

Very good book this, I would recommend it to anyone who is a Bond fan.

This is a fantastic read it really is. Its just as good as the original Bond novels I'd recommend it for sure.

I'm really enjoying this. Its written in 1968 by Kingsley Amis not long after Ian Fleming died and so far so good! Kingsley did a great job to continue the character (directly following Fleming's books) after Fleming so I'd recommend it!

Its around 3.5 stars at the minute. Its quite good but its not exactly blowing me away...

Been a very busy week so not made much progress with this book. Its going ok but I've read much better Robert Harris novels. Hopefully it will pick up!

Very enjoyable read, especially in the last third where the pace ramped up a notch. I'd recommend this to anyone, it is far better than the film.

Really enjoying this now, hard not to think of Michael Caine for Steiner though!

Great book, would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of James Bond.

On the home straight now, I do feel sorry for Kevin McClory though I have to say. It's not fair that he has no credit for today's version of James Bond.
