Hmm. Starting to get a bit impatient with this..l

So far, I'm enjoying the heck out of this. Exactly what I need to read right now.

I'm going to shelf this one for a while, because I can't read a single page anymore without skimming. There's too much self-absorbed prattling with nothing happening. I'm either getting bored, or maybe just in a bad mood...?

Well, at 3/4 of the way finished, I've really lost interest, which is rare for me and a SK novel. This is so not what I was expecting, which was kind of a Leon Reno 'The Professional' sort of hitman with a subjective conscience, whereas this is more... TV movie of the week? I dunno. Will pick it up again soon just to see how it ends.

I love, loved The Golem and the Jinni and happily reread it just before diving into this one and... so far, it's really sloooowwww... As in years pass and nothing much happens. However, I hope that all was just setting the stage because things are picking up! Yay! And Kreindel sounds like a potentially very interesting character

I can't resist Steve so my other books are on pause until I finish this one. So far, so good - we'll see how it turns out... later (jk 😄)

I somehow accidentally downloaded this to my Kindle, so I'm reading it, and also because I like Matthew as an actor. Nice intro and I like his 'voice' so far.

This is beautiful, meditative and inspiring, and I've only just started.

This is oddly slowly paced for a time travel yarn, and there's a disturbing chapter with a cat that's completely unnecessary and not entirely appropriate for a kids' book, and also which ruins a pivotal moment in the plot. I skimmed it for my son's benefit (we're reading aloud together) and I'm now kinda blah about finishing this, but son is still interested, so we shall persevere...

I'm not sure if this is the perfect choice of book to be reading right now, or the worst one. It's bleak, tough reading, but fascinating and transporting. A minor quibble is that it's confusing at times as to who's speaking, but this adds to whole sense of Moth and Ray's interconnectedness.

We're enjoying this, and Al's detailed first person narrative is lovely, especially his memories of his late father, but at the same time, we're anxious to get on to the time-travelling stuff already! (with the hamster)

I'm reading this with my 9-year-old son. We love time travel stories, Doctor Who and hamsters, so this is bound to be a good one!

I saw this in the library and even though I’ve sworn off this series at least five times over the years, I couldn’t resist signing it out and I just keep coming back for more of this. Why?? Because they’re so danger easy to get into? Because I want to find out what finally happens to Charlie? Umm. Yes.
