Tim is on page 29 of 296 of It's Complicated: The Social Lives of Networked Teens
I've only finished the introduction, but I'm already supremely disappointed. The football game scene Boyd describes (in which teenagers have phones with them but rarely look at them) is simply fictitious--and seemingly the result of her desire to position herself as the only adult who "gets" teenagers and the way they communicate. Not sure I will be able to make it to the end of this one.

That means that when we pick books from the bookstore shelves, we read those imperfect books in light of the perfect Book..." (locations 350-71).

I thought this book was going to blow my mind. It has not. I know a lot about clocks now, though, so there's that.

Maybe the most enjoyable book I've ever read. To get to know Steinbeck's personal life like this is incredible. Makes me love him even more.
