Really into tiny books these days. Little snacks for my foggy brain.

The rhetorical devices you used in bringing me up, which were extremely effective, and at least in my case never failed, included: insults, threats, irony, spiteful laughter and - strangely - self-pity.
I cannot remember you ever having abused me directly or explicitly. Nor was that necessary, you had so many other methods.

After a certain length of time has passed, things harden up. Like cement hardening in a bucket. And we can't go back anymore.

I just can't seem to find any interest in this book, even with the highly sensitive subject it deals with.

"God, I wish I could bleed him out of my life. If only I could make the outside hurt more than the inside."

For the first time ever, I'm so glad I'm reading a book so slowly. It's like savouring your favourite food.
