Halfway through the year, halfway through the book!

Nothing happens from June 5 to 17.

Volume 2 completed. Add bigamy to the list of 1810s Moscow elite problems.

500 pages in!

The war is more interesting than the peace.

Part 1 completed. So far it's been mostly peace, but with talks of war, and Andrei heading off to join the Russian army.

At this pace (360 chapters) I'll have the book finished by Christmas!

With 361 chapters, I should have this completed by the end of 2025. 1 down, 360 to go!

Well this is embarrassing. Mental Floss History of the WORLD was the last book left in my Goodreads unfinished business log, but I've spent the last 2 weeks reading the Mental Floss History of The UNITED STATES. It did seem pretty US-centric...

Still not quite sure why I'm reading this.

This book has been on my "currently reading" list longer than any other. Lets get it finished!

This time I'm doing it backwards, book before tv adaptation.

Need to stop dragging my feet. This is what I get for ordering the hard cover when it's so much easier (although less satisfying) to carry around the kindle.

Let's see if the book is better than the tv show....
