My progress through this book is slow because it is the type of book I I can pick on occasion when I am looking to read something light to read and have a good chuckle. It does not require laser attention only a knowledge of the structure of Facebook and the characters and authors of classic literature.

This book is not for the faint of heart. Life for the women in the concentration camps is horrible and sickening; even the most determined of the women only survived by sheer luck. The narrative is compelling.

I like the way the character with the brain injury describes words as they return to her memory, such as:
"Cashmere.....A deep lavender word, an early twilight word...." and "Siphon. A forgotten word. A circular word, caterpillar green."

I'm about to start Chapter Thirty. When does this book become a thriller??? It's pretty ho-hum so far.
