I have completely lost interest because of the not so subtle escalation and social issues in this book. I’m groaning ughhhhh why am I reading fantasy and not living the fantasy? I actually hate this.

I want to be subtly indoctrinated.

It’s the social issues that drive me crazy.
Alcoholism, prejudice and discrimination, outsider queer characters, cultural division, upheaval due to the rich and the poor, gossipers.
I don’t want to read to have a message shoved down my throat. I want to read for fun. If. I wanted to read for political or cultural awareness, I’d read the news. Bruh. 2.5/5 so far

Just realized all the main characters in this book are queer. Seems… like it’s trying too hard to be relatable. Idk.
