Good book and well written but i could not finish. You know what is going to happen and i just was not in the right frame of mind.

OMG. I'm in love with this heroine! She's absolutely hilarious.

Great book so far, but why would the hero not choose to use the brain of the heroine, a woman he has acknowledged to be an excellent strategist, to figure out what to do in a tricky spot? Instead he lies to her and treats her like your average idiotic HR heroine. Sigh. I thought this one was better than that.

Really enjoying this one until the hero asks the heroine to marry him and she basically has some internal dialogue that she would herself and marrying him would be "painful" because she loves him. WTF?!

I'm really enjoying this, despite the pretty dreadful Harlequinesque title. But, I find myself asking whether the hero for all his fabulous looks, wouldn't have been chancing an awful lot essentially living in brothels. I mean, venereal disease was something which all but the most sheltered would have been awake of, surely?

Dear God. So 2 sisters are vying to play hide the haggis with the hero, and there's a lot of get-naked-quick etc and I'm wandering if the hero actually has time to do any laird stuff because he seems to spend the whole time hiding said haggis.. I need a break from this..

I've been kinda MIA for about a year or so, focusing on other things in my life, but I'm back to reading and reviewing books again!!

I know it's an oldie, but this book is wonderful! Written with humor, with interesting characters and with a great nod to all those western movies and stereotypes of cowboys, but in a rather awed way. Great stuff.

Oh dear. This is descending into one of those books with 3000 mahvellous, nauseatingly caring/intrusive/downright annoying friends in it.. Why, oh why?

Will you just check out that cover?

Holy smokes! Once again Brenda Novak writes an astonishingly captivating and human historical romance/mystery/thriller with some intriguing characters! Loving it!!

All I feel when I look at that cover is "Ow!" The poor model has been waxed to within an inch of his life! Poor lamb..

Ok. Enough messing around with kilt-wearing Scottish lairds. Time for some serious sword-wielding pirate appreciation.

Too predictable. 5 mins after the hero clearly tells and shows the heroine he not only loves her but is totally smitten, she forgets and believes her clearly no-good uncle. It just doesn't ring true.

I'm enjoying this one a whole lot more than I thought I would. It's got grit which beautifully balances the sweetness. The hero has promise but remains an unpleasant character. Just the sort you want to thump. Great stuff!

I want to re-read every single one of these books. And then read them again. Absolutely wonderful! The sizzle of challenge, attraction, intelligence and confusion between Gage and Lady Keira. Love it.

To start with I thought this was going to be a sad attempt at some faux-highland god-awful romance, complete with kilts and ginger beards, but has turned into a wonderfully entertaining, rather enjoyable story of love between enemies.

The heroine's really a DA??... Hmm. Finding that kinda hard to believe..

The hero feels "an instant connection" with the sister he's not seen for 23 years? Since she was 6?.. Oh really?!

I'm struggling with the irritating posse of interfering, all-knowing sisters/friends.. Who cares what the sisters/friends say? Bring back the hero!!
