I mean it's all pretty slow going and Tolstoy could really benefit from a modern editor? Was he paid by the word like Dickens? But just got to part 3 and he's literally banging on about harvesting with the peasants and I really want to just go to sleep. How anyone actually reads this is beyond me, the audio book is hard enough.

Clearly this is an audiobook, which I am thoroughly enjoying, the writing imo lends itself more to audio content than written as my tiny little brain wouldn't be able to get past the period writing style. Who knows how that works. Ah well, 30 hours left.

Still not gripping me, can anyone who's read it tell me if it becomes more interesting?
