At this point in the book I'm just trying to finish. I'm so sick of the heroine's poor me attitude. She is unbelievably unlikable. I don't know any 27 year old who would act like this. If she was 16 I'd get it. But this behavior from a grown woman...no. I'm so disappointed.

This woman is very hard to like. Why am I doing this to myself?

So I'm supposed to believe a 27 year old, college educated woman, believes everything written on a gossip site. No pictures, no proof and she takes it as fact. Because in 2019 (the year the book was released) we all know if it's on the internet (or tabloid/gossip magazine/sites) then it HAS to be true. Even after the person in question is saying it's a lie, obviously she's going to believe the gossip site!

Okay. I love books with diversity. And representation is definitely a need in the romance genre, but these clunky soapbox moments are really annoying. If the author wanted a romance with diversity then she should have written one. Not have an all white cast of characters. The more I read this book the more frustrated I'm getting. How disappointing.

While I'm enjoying the book so far, I feel like the characters read very young. Like YA genre young. I keep forgetting that the heroine is 27... I don't know how I feel about that. But let's see how this plays out.

Okay. I'm going to finish this book but unless something incredible happens, I'm not going to continue the series. The hero is supposed to be a business owner and he wants to make a point about how he doesn't need a social media presence. Fair enough. But when the heroine points out that without customers a business can't pay their bills, it was as if he hadn't thought about that. He owns a cafe! He needs customers!

This teasing and playfulness is so at odds with this dark and brooding personality the author wants to claim the hero has. He isn't like that AT ALL. He joking and laughing and teasing her. And she's kind of annoying. She's supposed to be fun and outgoing but she is constantly arguing and being rude. This was not the book I expected to read.

This is an okay and cute read so far. But the description of what the hero's personality is meant to be is not at all the way he is acting. He's supposed to be straight-laced and stuffy. But he's acting all charming and funny and open. This is not what I was expecting. A little disappointed.

The premise of this book is weird. This wasn't what I was expecting. The more I read the odder it seems...I don't know about this one.

Again with Vera's story. Okay. Enough. This is supposed to be about Molly.

I am 100% not okay with this author making the heroine constantly talking herself out of the fact that her boss is harassing her and making excuses. At this point I thought we were beyond this. For a genre that is for women by women this is irresponsible and really irritating. As much as I'm enjoying this book despite that, I am definitely lowering my rating because of it.

I seriously want to slap this girl! Because he's your boss he can sexually harass you!? I can't stand stupid people. "By the time I'd gotten back to my desk, I had almost convinced myself there was nothing wrong with his behavior. Henry Tucker was an ass, but he was still my boss." Really? No.

I really don't need to hear about Vera and what happened to her over and over. She had her book, we've had the recap in the first chapter, now I want to know about Molly. This is her book.

He's sitting here throwing accusations at her about her walking aways and not caring. But when she lays it all out for him he says nothing. What a hypocrite!

Okay. He says he's "working" on trusting her, when she's never given him reason not to trust her. BUT he wants HER to trust HIM to go without protection during sexy time even though he's given her no reason to trust him to that extent. Yeah. Sure.

One thing I always hated when I was in high school was this idea that just because your friend didn't like someone you didn't/couldn't either. Even if they never did anything to you. I never played that game and it annoys me to read about how Alexis is acting "on behalf of her friends". It's not that serious.

No. Seriously. I love this book so much already. Hazel is so awesomely crazy.

I just want to make it clear that once I'm informed that the hero has a perfectly shaped head (though, why do I care?) I do not need it to be repeated on several occasions. All of which were during sexy times. What does it add? Is he using that perfectly shaped head to increase the heroine's pleasure? No. No he is not. Therefore I only need to be told once. Thank you.

Felicity Faircloth is a most excellent heroine.

So her boss reads dirty emails she sent, BEFORE SHE KNEW that he was her boss, to her AT WORK. AFTER she told his she didn't want to pursue this when she found out who he was. But because she looked turned, when she goes to run out of his office he pins her to the door to "prove" how much she wants him. Um...am I missing something?

I am a huge romance novel reader. I love this genre. But sometimes I don't understand it. How is it hot and sexy for a man to use his IT department in his company to track down the IP address, and potentially the identity, of a woman who asked him not to contact her again. All because he wants to have sex with her. That's called stalking and it's illegal in all 50 states. It's creepy. Not to mention he's her boss.

Seriously? She brings out the water works and the poor me after she betrayed her best friend and Megan just forgives her? No! And then to make it seem like Megan was somehow responsible? She violated girl code big time. Even when Megan gave her a break about dating her ex she still lies.

You see! I knew her best friend was an asshole! Wow! This girl has a lot of nerve.

I feel like this book would have been so much better if it was set in college. The fact that these characters are still in high school, even though they're seniors, I don't believe it and it pulls me out of the story.

While I find it very mature of Megan that she can be so nice and understanding towards her friend and giving her advice and encouragement, her "friend" is an asshole. She's dating her best friend's ex. Said ex broke up with Megan to date her best friend. They shove it in her face while Megan is cool about it. But don't go crying to her with your insecurities about having sex with him when you stole him!

That's how it ends?!?!

Another word that needs to stop being used is "oh". 5 times on one page. Where was the editor for that? If it was a drinking game for every time a character said "oh" I'd be in the hospital for alcohol poisoning.

Yay she's getting help!
