They fall in love.

I finished the book, and Mia ended up waking up at the end. Adam made her a song, and he was singing it when she woke up.

I'm at the part where Mia doesn't want to be alive anymore, and the monitor starts beeping. They found that something was wrong in her stomach, so they have to do another surgery.

I'm now at the point where Mia finds out that her little brother died.

I'm at the part where Mia is in the hospital, and her boyfriend Adam comes back from his gig & goes to visit her.

"If you stay, I'll do whatever you want. I'll out the band, go with you to New York. But if you need me to go away, I'll do that, too. Maybe coming back to your old life would just be too painful, maybe it'd be easier for you to erase us. And that would suck, but I'd do it. I can lose you like that, if I don't lose you today.
