i think maybe i don't like litrpgs

also very little is actually happening. we're kind of going in circles

does the thing i've noticed a lot of woke YA books do where they tell rather than show their wokeness super explicitly. i think it mostly has to do with the genre being aimed at younger audiences but it is so direct and on the nose that it does annoy me as a reader a bit to be told this stuff so constantly. im saying this as someone who is Woke lol but it's so heavy handed it's annoying

a little hard to follow the different pl

extremely engaging with great narration. a little longer than i think it needs to be but the strength of the writing keeps it interesting

way more singing than i was expecting

man i want to be enjoying this so much because on paper it is everything i love in a book but the style is just really really not clicking with me :(

oh this really picked up. margo is crazy but i am enjoying the ride

god i’m sorry but the audiobook narrator is unbearable i just hate nearly every choice he makes. kavinsky is especially egregious. book is so good but narration is really taking me out of it

a little millennial in the dialogue/writing style but im intrigued by the plot and duke is fun

audiobook came out so i am rereading the Book of All Time

was randomly getting a lot of raven boys tweets on the tl so it's time for a reread

definitely engaging but wooooow this is on the nose lol

cute but some of the dialogue is really cheesy/standard ie. "die hard is not an xmas movie, sorry you like PINEAPPLE on your pizza, etc."

such an interesting idea being written in such a boring way....

really enjoying this so far! the politics are a little boring #tome but i really like the ship and i find their growth really natural and their connection is quite cute

definitely feels like it’s trying a little too hard sometimes and it’s a little slow but i’m intrigued still

this was so excellent i am going to be thinking about rocky and grace for years

by far my favorite rf kuang book i've ever read
